About

Chris Wright – Photographer, Technologist and Writer.

Brighton photographer Chris Wright has worked in the Media and IT industries since the early 1980′s. He was responsible for designing and building some of the first e-commerce sites in the UK and wrote a best selling book (imaginatively titled “Teach Yourself Java”) on Java, the programming language that underpins many of the busiest web sites in the world.

Specialising in Landscapes, Travel and Architecture, Chris takes his inspiration from the Yorkshire Dales where he grew up, the Downs and Seascapes of the South Coast where he lives now and the futuristic citadels of corporate London where he works. He has also travelled extensively in some of the most spectacular landscapes in the world including Spain, China and India in 2012.

Chris is a member of the Royal Photographic Society and Brighton & Hove Camera Club. He favours Canon cameras and lenses, Giottos tripods and Lee Photographic Filters.
